Plant Type: Perennials

Flowers bloom in spring and last all summer. This plant has dense clusters of small lavender blooms amid green foliage. Statice should be planted after all danger of frost has passed. Plant in full sun; preferred soil is sandy loam with good drainage. Soil should be watered when dry to the touch. Once flowers appear, pinch faded blooms to promote flowering.

Growing & Maintenance Tips:

Statice makes wonderful dried flowers. Cut flowers right after they open. Hang upside down in a cool dark place with good air circulation. Because flowers retain their fragrance, statice works well in potpourri and sachets.
