    Impressive rich raspberry red flowers, super saturated like raspberry syrup, are quite sunfast for such a dark color. Aptly named, they have an usually smooth, velvety texture like suede. Well budded scapes top the large clump. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).
