Pyrus calleryana

Plant Type: Flowering Trees
Like other cultivars of Callery pear, ‘Sylvania’ (Trinity) is a good choice for tough conditions, such as the strip between sidewalk and street that has little room for roots, sites with poor soil, and those exposed to pollution and road salt. It grows and flowers best in full sun and average, well-drained soil, but tolerates clay soil and dry conditions.
Broadly oval to rounded, deciduous form with glossy green foliage that turns bright orange-red in fall and produces an abundance of white blossoms in spring. Prefers any fertile, well-drained soil.
