This Allium is easy to identify because of the nodding habit of the pink to white flowers. Nodding onion blooms in July or August. A rosette of solid and flat basal leaves can reach 12 inches long, bloom stems can be 12-15 inches tall.

Growing & Maintenance Tips:

The plants prefer full or partial sun, and moist to dry conditions. It resents hot, dry summers and prefers regular irrigation. It usually isn't bothered by diseases, although slugs find it very tasty in mild, moist regions. Nodding onion is easy to grow, and will make offsets quickly under good conditions.
