    Panicles of airy, pink tufted flowers in late spring or summer with the flowers borne on long stems in open clusters. The prominent stamens give the flowers a fluffy looking appearance. Because of their size, the plants are best used at the back of most flower beds.

    Provide Columbine Meadow Rue with a growing area that has a moist soil and exposure to sun or partial shade. In areas with severe winters, winter protection is suggested. New plants or divisions may take 2 or 3 years to bloom heavily.
