Plant Type: Hostas

Hosta ‘Loyalist’ is a sport of the famous H. ‘Patriot’ with reverse variegation. Its heart-shaped leaves have deep green margins and nearly pure white centers that are not prone to melting out. ‘Loyalist’ leaves have a heavy substance. It is a tetraploid with pale lavender flowers and creamy-white scapes appearing in midsummer. This is the best white-centered hosta to arrive on the gardening scene in 25 years. A remarkable plant that is a focal point in any location. A versatile, long-lived, and easy-to-care-for plant with foliage that is attractive from spring until frost. Seems to be tolerant of the heat and humidity of southern summers.
