Plant Type: Hostas

‘Lemon Meringue’ is a hosta with a large mound of unruly and corrugated bright gold foliage. Pale lavender flowers late summer. This is a large hosta. Bright yellow leaves with snow white backs make it one of a kind.

In 1991, Peter Ruh registered ‘Lemon Meringue’, a hypoleuca hybrid.  The light yellow leaves are rounded with several small marginal undulations and some rugosity. They measure 11.5″ x 10″ and have 12 pairs of veins. White, tubular flowers appear midseason atop 17″ scapes.
