    Geums charming, nodding pink spring flowers give rise to feathery, smoky-pink seed heads that decorate the plants in mid-summer.  Spreading slowly from its roots, Prairie Smoke can be used as a small-scale groundcover.  Grows easily in lean-to-average fertility garden soils.
