Drooping clusters of fragrant, lacy white flowers appear in spring before the foliage emerges, making this tree extraordinarily beautiful.  Dark blue grape like fruit follows later in the summer.   A slow growing native.   The trunk of the Fringetree is pale gray with bands of white.
