A few hybridizers are making good progress in developing more interesting hosta flowers. Whether intentional or not, this hybrid from Don Dean is a huge leap forward! ‘Evening Blush’ has sturdy lavender scapes circled with a dense head of lavender flowers. The inside of each flower is patterned with deep purple markings.  The blue leaves are pointed, with wavy edges, and held on purple spotted petioles.
