Edelweiss is a favorite wildflower of the Swiss Alps.  Plants are a low growing clump of silvery gray foliage, with the yellowish white wooly flowers appearing in early summer.   Short lived in gardens, these will sometimes self seed when they're happy.  Drought tolerant once established.
