A good durable utility shrub with bronze tinged foliage and small yellow flowers; no particularly overwhelming ornamental features, but overall trouble-free, tolerant of adverse conditions; good in massing. Dwarf Bush Honeysuckle has attractive dark green foliage which emerges burgundy in spring. The pointy leaves are highly ornamental but do not develop any appreciable fall color. It has lemon yellow trumpet-shaped flowers along the branches in early summer.
Dwarf Bush Honeysuckle is a great shrub for those difficult dry, shaded areas.It spreads somewhat aggressively by rhizomes, and has beautiful red fall foliage. The classic Honeysuckle flower is a favorite of bees.
