Plant Type: Perennials

Aquilegia Goldfinch is part of the Songbird series, which is a hybrid strain of Columbine featuring large fully double yellow flowers. These plants reach a height of 12 to 24 inches on compact, bushy plants. The flowers bloom in spring. Dancing, late-spring blooms characterize these lovely border plants. Columbines make excellent cut flowers if picked when half open. Grow in full sun or partial shade.

Aquilegias are widely known for their love of shady areas, but also do well in the sun, in moist, well-drained soil.  Use them for an early season cut flower; long lasting, up to two weeks.   Aquilegia is especially lovely when allowed to naturalize in shady, woodland borders.
