‘Lan Bao Shi’, also known as ‘Blue Sapphire’ or ‘Blue Jewel’ tree peony will grow to be about 6 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 6 feet. It has a low spreading canopy. It grows at a slow rate, maturing in 15 to 20 years. This remarkable tree peony features bold, lightly-scented, pink to pale-lavender, cup-shaped, 6-inch blossoms with powder-blue overtones, butter-yellow stamen, and hot-pink petal flares from mid to late-spring. The flowers are excellent for cutting.
