The 15″ leaves of ‘Blackjack’ are strongly corrugated and almost perfectly round. After emerging in the spring, the bluish foliage turns dark green. The heavy substance leaves are often dome-shaped and slowly form a spreading, somewhat unruly mound about 30″ tall and 60″ across or more. Hosta ‘Blackjack’ blooms in mid-summer with short scapes of near-white flowers.
